What is Laparoscopic Appendectomy?

Appendectomy is the surgical removal of the appendix. The operation is done to remove the infected appendix a condition called as Appendicitis. Acute Appendicitis is an emergency, can lead to perforation and spillage of stool into the abdomen in delayed presentation.

Common Symptoms of Appendicitis:

• Abdomen pain that starts around the navel
• Fever
• Nausea and vomiting
• Decreased appetite
• Diarrhea or constipation
